China has signed a deal to buy crude oil from Russia in 10 years with a total contract value of up to $ 85 billion, when the two leaders called for promoting cooperation in global affairs and energy.
Russian
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev , led a strong delegation including
Energy Minister Alexander Novak and leader manufacturers of gas and oil
leading countries, has arrived in Beijing on 22/10 during 2-day visit .
In
his meeting with Russian Prime Minister , President of China Xi Jinping
told Medvedev that the two countries are strategic partners and good
neighbors , Xinhua reported.
Xi said the two sides have common interests need to be protected and justice issues in the region and globally.
"
The two countries should further promote strategic cooperation , to
maintain its position at the UN and the Security Council , protective
purposes and principles of the UN Charter and the fundamental principles
governing international relations , to jointly promote peace , stability and development , " Xi said .
For
his part , Mr. Medvedev said Russia and China have broad common
interests and the two countries to continue cooperation with important
implications for world peace .
After
meeting with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev , Chinese Premier Li
Keqiang said the two sides reached a new agreement , it's important to
boost the bilateral cooperation and in fact , especially for projects large .
" Bilateral relations have never reached such high levels . Fact favorable as we are each other's neighbors ," Medvedev said .
The two prime ministers witnessed the signing of 21 bilateral cooperation agreements .
In
an online chat with Chinese netizens later, Medvedev said the largest
oil producer of Russia , Rosneft , will provide 70 million barrels of
crude oil to China every year for 10 years.
"
The agreement means that 100 million tons of crude oil will be sold to
China for 10 years , worth $ 85 billion . That is a large sum for any
country , including China," Russian Prime Minister said .
Russian
Energy Minister Alexander Novak said the energy giant Gazprom and the
National Oil Corporation of China also agreed on gas pricing formula ,
with Russia providing 38 billion m3 of gas per year to China .
In
the online conversation lasted 1 hour , Chinese netizens also
questioned the Prime Minister Medvedev on Russia's experience in a
