The burden of stroke is turning young people.

Mortality, disability, and disease may stroke doubled since 2030, and even young people also suffered a stroke, partly due to unhealthy lifestyles.



According to two new studies published in the medical journal The Lancet , the number of strokes in people aged 20-64 has increased 25 % in the past 20 years and now accounts for 31 % of cases , compared with 25 % before 1990.


Number of patients under 75 years of age accounted for 62 % of new cases of stroke , 45 % of deaths and 72 % of cases of illness and disability .


The researchers said that each year more than 83,000 people aged 20 or younger had a stroke - accounting for about 0.5 % of the total.


They warn that the shift in the burden of stroke to young people will continue without urgent steps to direct people to improve unhealthy lifestyle - mainly reducing salt , calories , alcohol and tobacco .


Research shows that in 2010 , 61.5 % of disability cases and 51.7 % of deaths due to brain hemorrhage - occurs when blood vessels rupture weak , mainly due to high blood pressure and lifestyle unhealthy .


" The majority of patients under 75 years old and live in low -income countries and middle , where the incidence of stroke due to bleeding was increased by 19 % ," the study said .

Study warns of 2030 , disability , disease and death from stroke will double worldwide , especially in low -income countries and middle .


" This is partly due to the increase in risk factors such as unhealthy diet , high blood pressure , obesity , physical inactivity and tobacco in the country ."
