Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has not determined when the police chief of Canada's largest cities revealed that the coroner had in his hands this video was filmed smoking drugs.
Speaking at a press conference on 31/10 , Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair confirmed Mayor Rob Ford has been recorded .
" Mayor appeared in that video . As a citizen of Toronto , I am very disappointed about this ," Mr Blair said .
Earlier,
in May , the Canadian Press reported on the existence of a 90- second
video clip of Mr Ford is using banned substances . The
reporter of the Toronto Star, Canada 's largest newspaper , and the
U.S. site Gawker said they have been watching this video .
Meanwhile, Mr. Ford has denied the allegations and rejected calls to resign .
But yesterday, Toronto police confirmed on hand this video , though it has never been made public .
Police
Chief Blair said police technicians found the video and other data from
a computer hard drive seized in mid- June , after it was cleared away .
Mr. Ford has refused to elaborate on the allegations , but said : " I have no reason to resign ."
Toronto
Star said that drug traffickers have contacted this newspaper to try to
sell the video , which is a claim that he provided drugs for Ford shot
by mobile phones .
The newspaper said it had seen the video but refused to pay for it .
Gawker website said that the video was viewed . But
after raised more than $ 200,000 in an online campaign to buy the video
, Gawker was an anonymous source reported that the video was "
disappeared " .Police Chief Blair said Mayor Ford has not been questioned by police . Mr
Blair said he did not Ford criminal charges based on the video , but
stressed that prosecutors could make additional charges in the case.
