"Russian Israeli missile strike in Syria"

A U.S. official said, Israel has carried out air strikes near the coastal city of Latakia, Syria and seems to be aimed at the Russian-made missile, believed to be transferred to Hezbollah in Lebanon.



Latakia is the " base " of Syrian President Bashar al - Assad , an important port city where his Alawite community focused living .
Meanwhile , Israel is said to have carried out at least three air strikes against Syria from the beginning of the year .
